Ospreys or Fish Hawks on Their Nest
 
2005 Photograph, Ospreys or Fish Hawks (Pandion haliaetus), two nestlings, nearly fledged (with white edged feathers and red eyes) and an adult (with yellow eyes), probably the mother on their nest platform.  By the following weekend, they had left the nest and were soaring over the bay.  Occoquan Bay NWR, Woodbridge, Virginia © 2005.
You hear an Osprey calling while on her nest.
