Wat Chaichana Songkhram, วัดชัยชนะสงคราม, is a third class royal temple built in 1848 (B.E. 2391) during the reign of King Rama III by Chao Phraya Bodindecha (Sing Singhaseni), the chief commander who had great faith in Buddhism after coming back from a victory in the war against the Vietnamese and Khmers. He donated his house and the land for a temple and named the temple Wat Chaichana Songkhram (literally "War Victory") as a commemoration for that victory. Since his house as well as the monks' residences were tuek (concrete buildings), the people called the temple Wat Tuek. The Ubosot (Main Chaple or Ordination Hall) has gilded and mirror decorated Chor Fah (axis of the gable end); and door and window frames made of marble. The principal Buddha image named Singhamunin Thammabodin Lokanart Thewa Norachat Aphi Puchani is enshrined in the Ubosot. There is also a repository for the Tripitaka Manuscript Hall which is painted inside and out with lacquered gold leaf. 

วัดชัยชนะสงครามเป็นพระอารามหลวงชั้นตรี ชนิดสามัญสร้างขึ้นเมื่อปี พ.ศ. ๒๓๙๑ ในสมัยรัชกาลที่ ๓ โดย เจ้าพระยา บดินทร์เดชา (สิงห์ สิงหเสนี) แม่ทัพใหญ่ หลังจากทำศึกรบชนะญวน และเขมรกลับมา แล้วมีจิตศรัทธาในบวรพระพุทธศาสนา ได้ยกที่ดินและบ้านสร้างถวายเป็นวัด ตั้งชื่อว่า วัดชัยชนะสงคราม เพื่อเป็นอนุสรณ์แห่งความมีชัยชนะสงครามเนื่องจากเรือนของท่าน รวมทั้งกุฏิสงฆ์ ตลอดจนอาคารสิ่งปลูกสร้างอื่น ๆ ได้ถูกสร้างเป็นตึกทั้งหมด ชาวบ้านจึงเรียกวัดนี้ว่า วัดตึก พระอุโบสถภายในวัด มีชอฟ้า ใบระกา ติดกระจกปิดทอง หน้าบัน ซุ้มประตู หน้าต่าง สร้างด้วยหินอ่อน มีพระประธานพระนามว่า สิงหมุนินทร์ ธรรมบดินทร์ โลกนาถเทวนรชาติ อภิปูชนีย์ นอกจากนั้นยังมี หอพระไตรปิฎก เขียนเป็นลายรดน้ำทั้งภายในและภายนอก
