Wat Mai Piren,
วัดใหม่พิเรนทร์, located
in the Bangkok Yai area of Bangkok, Thailand, was built by King Rama III.
It was originally called Wat Mai Ban Khao Lam. Later, road
construction nearby resulted in a three-way intersection. The local
people then called the temple Wat Mai Pho Saam Dthon. The temple has
since been renamed to Wat Mai Piren. |
